Data Breach

How to Get Data Breach in FEED THE AI

Let one Firewall capture 200 Data particles, keep it alive through the count, then destroy it before it escapes.

Goal

Chapter 3+

Exact Game Rule

Data Breach counts captured Data particles on a single Firewall. A 30-Data particle still counts as one captured particle for this requirement.

Keep These Counters Separate

Initial Firewall particles

Created from Firewall Start Data. They describe what the Firewall begins with.

Captured gameplay particles

Registered as the Firewall steals nearby particles. This is the achievement counter.

Example: 2,000 Firewall Start Data creates 66 initial particles worth 1,980 total Raw Data.

Achievement Route

Data Breach Quick Route

  1. 01

Attempt in Chapter 3 or later

A larger natural collection window makes the 200-particle target more reliable.

  2. 02

    Create enough Data particles

Prioritize target supply and a usable round window—not Data Price.

  3. 03

    Keep one Firewall alive

The verified counter belongs to one Firewall.

  4. 04

    Do not kill it immediately

Normal progression instincts work against this achievement.

  5. 05

    Reach 200 captured particles

Count particles, regardless of each particle’s Raw Data value.

  6. 06

    Prevent escape

Escaping removes the captured reward from your run.

  7. 07

    Kill after the threshold

Destroying the Firewall releases its captured Data back toward the AI.

Normal play teaches you to kill a Firewall quickly. Data Breach asks you to do almost the opposite—keep one alive long enough, but not long enough to lose it.

Natural Collection Window

Why Chapter 2 Is Difficult for Data Breach

The Firewall escape threshold reference is set from roughly one third of the opening minion count. A normal high-supply Chapter 2 example can fall short of the achievement requirement.

Opening targets

559

floor(559 / 3)

186

Achievement

200

Accurate Boundary

Chapter 2 is unreliable for a normal attempt because its standard natural window can fall below 200. This does not mean every special Chapter 2 configuration is impossible.

Why Chapter 3+ Is Safer

The Chapter 3 high-supply example is about 743 opening targets: floor(743 / 3) = 247, giving an approximate 47-particle margin.

Chapter 3 high supply~743~247Much safer

These are mechanics-based setup examples, not guarantees of runtime movement or escape timing.

How Firewall Captures and Returns Data

One particle on this Firewall

If the Firewall dies

  1. 01Captured particles are released
  2. 02They fly back toward the AI
  3. 03You collect the Data normally

If the Firewall escapes

  1. 01Captured particles leave with it
  2. 02No Raw Data is collected
  3. 03No Cash is earned from them

Quick Answer

Stolen Data is permanently lost from that attempt only if the Firewall escapes or despawns. Keep alive → reach 200 → kill before escape.

Dedicated Attempt

Best Data Breach Setup

Chapter

3+ recommended

More room before the natural threshold becomes a problem.

Supply

200+ particles

Use targets, clusters, and a useful round window.

Combat

Controlled

Clear other targets without bursting the Firewall.

Firewall

Keep one alive

Track the same unit for the full attempt.

Route

Rational or Tyrant-friendly

Tyrant is useful when accidental kills are the problem.

Finish

Kill after 200

Do not let the completed Firewall escape.

What Helps the Particle Count?

Useful

  • Start Data and target supply
  • Clusters and Cluster Size
  • A long enough round window
  • Combat control without Firewall burst

Not directly useful

  • Data Price
  • Prestige Earnings multiplier
  • Higher particle value alone
  • Maximum Density by itself

Density raises target HP and Data value, but the achievement counts particles. One very valuable particle is still one captured particle.

Mechanics-Based Comparison

Can Tyrant Make Data Breach Easier?

Yes, sometimes. Tyrant makes a Firewall harder in normal play, but extra Health can prevent an accidental kill during a dedicated attempt. It is useful—not mandatory.

RouteNormal playData Breach attempt
tyrantHarderPotentially useful: +20% Health makes accidental kills less likely, while +10% Speed raises escape risk.
rationalBalancedBalanced middle ground, but −15% Health makes burst damage less forgiving.
protectorEasierMay slow Firewall interaction through −20% Speed and detection.
Tyrant Tradeoff

+20% Firewall Health helps sustain the setup; +10% Speed means you must watch escape behavior more carefully.

Why Your Firewall Gets So Tanky

Exact Formula

max(1,600, Finder Damage × 25) × Firewall Health modifier

At 30,000 Finder Damage, base Firewall HP is 750,000. The Tyrant +20% modifier raises it to 900,000—this is expected behavior, not a bug.

During Normal Progression?

Take the achievement if the opportunity naturally appears. Otherwise, use a later dedicated attempt—normal play wants the Firewall dead quickly, while Data Breach wants it temporarily alive.

Failure Diagnosis

Data Breach Not Unlocking?

Check the condition in order: particle units, one Firewall, escape state, kill timing, then the natural supply window.

Most Likely Check

Data Breach counts captured particles, not the Raw Data value printed on them.

Count each gameplay particle as one, even when it is worth 30 Data or more.

Fast Answers

FEED THE AI Data Breach FAQ

Does Data Breach require 200 Data?

No. It requires one Firewall to capture 200 Data particles. A particle worth 30 Raw Data still increases the achievement counter by one particle.

Can multiple Firewalls add up to 200?

No shared total is used. The verified subscribed/stolen counter belongs to one Firewall, so track the same Firewall through the attempt.

Why is Chapter 2 difficult for Data Breach?

A high-supply Chapter 2 example has about 559 opening targets, giving a natural threshold reference near 186—below the 200-particle condition. This makes a normal attempt unreliable, not absolutely impossible.

Which Chapter is best?

Chapter 3 or later is the safer general recommendation. The Chapter 3 high-supply example gives about 247 versus the 200 requirement.

Should I kill the Firewall?

Keep it alive until its captured-particle counter reaches 200, then kill it before it escapes.

Do I lose the stolen Data?

Only if the Firewall escapes or despawns. Destroying it releases captured particles so they can return to the AI.

Is Tyrant required?

No. Tyrant can make accidental Firewall kills less likely through higher Health, but its higher Speed also makes escape behavior more dangerous.

Does Data Price help?

No. Data Price affects Cash conversion after collection; Data Breach counts captured particles.
